My guilty pleasure

A lot of us have those guilty pleasure TV shows that we don’t really own up to… but here’s mine.  On Oxygen, the Jancie Dickinson Modeling Agency.  You’ll get sucked in.

Ashton and Demi encourage you to vote for change…

Vote For Equality

hey… shoo

If you haven’t seen it yet, the SNL skit with Tina Fey as Sarah Palin is classic.  The scary thing is is that the SNL writers didn’t have to reach much for their material.  Below is the SNL Skit and then following is the actual Katie Couric interviews.  Scary!

Medici Normal

One of Uptown Normal’s newer additions has, in my opinion, blossomed.

Medici in Normal has a complete Mediterranean inspired menu. They also have hometown favorites such as burgers and other sandwiches as well.

One of the most notable features of Medici in Normal is the use of wood. The unique bar and table tops are individual works of art which get attention even if it is a more subtle touch.

The feel of Medici can vary depending on the day and time. There is the normal lunch crowd which can vary from the local professional to a construction worker on the nearby Uptown Normal projects.

The staff is also something to touch on. Their appearance is noticeably casual with jeans but nothing to scoff at with matching polos and shirts. I have visited Medici a number of times for lunch, dinner and drinks and every time, the service has been stellar and something to be proud of.

Unlike other newer restaurants in the area (such as J. Buck’s in Bloomington – review coming soon), Medici has become a place I’d be glad to visit or take out-of-town friends or business contacts for a bite to eat.

The better sub notebook

First and foremost, I’m a huge Mac fan.  I’ve loved Apple products for a really long time.  As you can see below with the stamp, I’m even posting this on a Mac.

I am, however, somewhat disappointed by the MacBook Air now that I’ve gotten my hands on a Lenovo X300.

The X300 is what the Air should have been from the beginning.  Built in SuperDrive, video out, multiple USB and lightweight.

I’m assuming the Lenovo marketing folks put this video together and I know I sure enjoyed it.

The new beginning

Well, I know I’ve been horrible at updating the old blog.  It’s a multitude of reasons, really.  Mainly, I don’t have much to say and also don’t really want to commit much time to it.

We’ll see how I do on this one.

Here goes.
