Ever since I first tried Netflix and Blockbuster By Mail and now back to Netflix with online streaming, I’ve become a huge fan of TV on DVD.  I’ve been catching up too!

While in Mexico a few years ago for my brother’s wedding, when back in the room late at night trying to sober up a little before bed, Dead Like Me was on tv.  I found it odd that I was watching more shows form the U.S. while in Mexico than I did while I was actually in the U.S.

About nine months ago, I came across Dead Like Me while browsing through the DVD catalog (I was using Blockbuster By Mail at this point) and got the first disk of Season 1.  I was hooked immediately.  As soon as I was done with the first disk, I didn’t want to wait for my queue to catch up and went to the local store and traded in my mailed DVD for an in-store exchange for the remaining disks.

Sadly, the show only lasted two seasons.  I think the show had a lot of potential and the episodes touched on a wide variety of topics and human nature and emotion.

A few days ago, Dead Like Me: Life After Death, a direct to DVD movie was released.  It’s in my queue for Netflix, but I’m not sure if I can wait.  I definitely want the DVD vs. buying it via the iTunes store since I’m hoping there’s some awesome special features on the DVD!

At any rate, check out the trailer below and pick up the movie and Seasons 1 and 2!
